Celebrity Trend Alert: Pale is the New Tan

Stars learn from and go to some of the top dermatologists, aestheticians, and skin specialists. So it’s no wonder that they understand the importance of sun safety.  Natural skin is definitely evident with the following A-list stars in Hollywood.  In preparing for her role as Snow White for the movie Mirror Mirror, Lily Collins has been quoted as being dependent on sunscreen to achieve that beautiful porcelain “fairest of them all” face. Anne Hathaway’s dermatologist stated in People Magazine that Anne has the most desirable celebrity skin and gives her credit for being religious about sun protection. Hayden Panettiere preaches about wearing sunscreen every day. Nicole Kidman also protects her fair skin from the sun’s harmful rays and is said to avoid the sun. Catherine Zeta Jones, Taylor Swift, Scarlet Johansson, Amanda Seyfried, Kate Winslet, Kate Blanchet, and Tina Fey are just a few of the stars who understand the dangers of the sun, play it safe, and have the beautiful skin to prove it.

Other celebs support the cause of creating awareness regarding UV radiation. Jennifer Garner is the face of Neutrogena.  She also is featured in an ad campaign with Amanda Cosgrove and Gabrielle Union for Choose Skin Health. Ashley Greene is in Avon ads and is said to wear sunscreen daily. Brooke Shields was the face for Coppertone Nutra Shield in 2009. Rachel Bilson and Anna Faris have teamed up with the Skin Cancer Foundation and Jergens to encourage people to give up tanning routines and find safe alternatives to glow without the sun. Anna says she stopped her tanning bed ways after the guidance of a makeup artist, and now is determined to spread awareness about sun safety.
